Deion Sanders' unique recruiting style at Colorado: Zero home visits since hiring in 2022

Colorado coach Deion Sanders has been landing top recruits but hasn't visited them off-campus or used the private air travel service budgeted for him.

He recruited the entire OL last year via the Portal, then blasted the OL for how they played. So one starter has already left. Add in the walk-on TE who actually made some big plays left as well to join the former OC who was demoted during the season for no apparent reason, and ended up the new HC at SDSU.

And after arguably the worst P5 now P4 HS recruiting class, all he’s doing is using the Portal. The whole thing is comical at this point. He doesn’t think he has to recruit, and more or less has the mindset that recruits should just jump to play for Colorado.

I guess next year they’ll have the greatest 5-7 team to go along with the greatest 4-8 team in 2023.

I think its important to note that the President of the University fired him and not the AD.
In the modern era, there is almost no precedent for this. Think about that for a minute.

Fair enough. He has brought in a lot of $$$ for a Colorado program that probably won’t ever have a winning season while he’s there (which is likely maybe 2 more years). That’s more than the previous guy here could do.

Goruk's downfall was his refusal to incorporate the atlatl into his spear-chucking program. Wouldn't change with the times. The Paul Johnson of his era, really.
