Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Was wondering if there would Falcons paint for 2 college games.
They're erasing out-of-bounds, yard-lines, and all. Not just logos. And I believe the Falcons will have 2 preseason games in MBS before the college games. They definitely won't be played in the Dome:

I have been wondering what ours will look like, every neutral site seems to do it differently. Sometimes they're filled in with navy, once or twice with yellow/gold, sometimes just the regular block letters like at BDS.

I've mentioned this before but I wish we would add more color to our field and I think it could be done in a way that looks good. Bring back the gold redzone paint, and for the endzones we could improve on the late 90's style. One endzone with white letters on a gold background, the other with gold letters on a white background. I'm not expecting anything anytime soon though, I've been to one or two early season games where we had "GEORGIA TECH" in the endzone with white-bordered hollow letters and it looked like crap.

That was apparently a trial paint run because this morning they are erasing the field:

And hope that is the case....for the Tech-Tenn game, Tech is the "home team" but with the Falcon logo it is the opposite side...what gives?

That is odd... I see from the seating chart for the CFA game, our sideline will be the one on the right from this picture orientation and we are designated as home team. The Falcons home side will be on the left, just as the logo faces. Why would they swap which side is home side for different games?

EDIT: Unless they've changed it. The original virtual fly through video shows the Falcons sideline on the north with the logo facing that way. If you go to the seating map on the mbs website, it shows the logo facing south. It was painted facing north. Who knows?

Goalposts are down now and more field paint is being removed. Maybe they're doing a dry run to convert it from football to soccer.

Open House for ATL United season ticket holders next Sat the 19th. Team will be practicing on the field during open house...

The stadium looks awesome from the outside. Don't really care for it on the inside.

Like I said. The lower level between the 20's is too far from the field. BDS spoils me.

Said the guy who sits in upper north, and pees off the top row.
Below the walkway in the Upper North is some of the best seats in the stadium. Plus, we have wider concourses and much nicer bathrooms than anywhere else in BDS. Plus, there is a younger fanbase up there, although that might cramp your style chasing bluehairs

This is important to you?

Typical sidewalk fan. Besides, I thought you pissed off the back row?

Typical arrogant Tech grad. Assholes like you are the very reason I get asked "why are you a Tech fan?" Most Tech grads are happy to have sidewalk fans show up and support the team. Pricks like you are what drives them away, and that is an absolute fact.

Yes, nice facilities are important to me. It is important to GT. You won't get additional sidewalk fans with ööööty facilities and your prickish attitude. Nobody wants to use facilities like the dungeon bathrooms that used to be in the lower east.

I'll watch Tech anywhere, but I'm a diehard. I really enjoyed us playing up in Murfreesboro, which were all metal bleachers. But instead of maximizing capacity we should focus on the stadium having the nicest amenities in all of college football.

More and more people are staying home to watch the games on TV, you have to entice them some how if you're not an Alabama. When I had upper east seats, going to concessions suuuuucked. It would be nice if we could ever figure a way to bump out that area over Techwood.

Seating capacities in all of sports is declining. This is not a problem unique to GT.

If you afraid someone will see your wee wee while you are taking a piss, well that's just not my problem. Or GT's.

Dude, BDS bathrooms on the lower concourses are öööö. It's not weird to want a better bathroom. In fact, I would say it's weird not to. No one's saying it's the be-all end-all of the stadium experience, but it's certainly a factor.
