Next year

High level. Elite. Effort. Waffles. 404. Love them. Hug them. (But throw them under the bus).

Adjustments were good but it still doesn't take into account the fact we can't cover opposing receivers for shat, and we look stupid when it comes to open field tackling, and overall our defense is slow.
Agreed, our defense could use a lot of work during the off season. The second half was better by far, but still we are not an elite level....yet.

Tell us how we could have allowed fewer points in the last 3 quarters.

Didn't imply anything about how the adjustments weren't superb. Just saying that we have short comings....some of which can be remedied via work and some of which can't unless or until different personnel are brought in. Overall a fantastic effort and great way to end the season.

As an observation: when we were down 14-0, the cameras focused in on Coleman and Sherrer coaching their guys HARD. I've been very critical of Coleman, but I'm willing to admit that our DEs in this game started in unfamiliar roles and became better about defending the read option throughout the game. Getting more heft into the DL for the bowl game was an improvement after the 1st quarter.
We were also missing our #1 DE
