When our defense plays incredible many people praise Tenuta...when the defense plays poorly those same people slam Gailey. Interesting.
Another interesting note is how our defense the past two years is either right on the game and unbeatable...or they cannot stop anything. They are never lukewarm...just hot or cold.
I rarely say this...but I know for a fact that the players had plenty of reminders about not being flat. I also know that only playing 1 game in 22 days does hurt your rythym.
However, I have to say that based on what I heard on the 790 internet broadcast (I did not see it)...it sounds like players were in position to win and simply did not execute. Gailey may say this one is squarely his (he is ultimately...and he should say what he did)...however I doubt he truly believes it.
The players just showed their immaturity today...but they are in our family...they are Jackets...they will only get better next year...and we have to support all of them!
