Joe Cox committed to UGA...stating that even though he committed to Duke that UGA was his number one school all along...."Richt is blah, blah, blah".

How does someone go from thinking Duke is their school (and his father played football there)...to thinking UGA is their school?

That is like accepting a job as a rocket scientist at NASA...then changing your mind and thinking that you really would love to pump gas for a living.

...not that there is anything wrong with that...it is just the contrast of the close decision that kills me.

...on a GT note...our recruiting is looking even better than last year at this point with the combination academics and athletics looking at us hard.

That's a real blow to Duke if it stands up. Not only is his father a former Duke player but the guy who coached him in HS is the Duke QB coach. If they can't get that kid, they do have some problems still.

Maybe he was impressed with their computer science department /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hugelaugh.gif

Just figured he'd want to be in that program with Brandon Miller, since he was so impressed with it.

Of course, if you are going to be a physician someday, I'm sure that you'd rather have UGAg on you diploma than Duke. It instills confidence and comforts your rural Georgia patients to know that you can talk Jawja football.
