I'd like some feedback.
Assumptions:
To make a bowl next year the jackets need 6 wins.
It will be a season of 11 games (not 12).
The Samford game (Div 1-AA) does not count towards a bowl.
Thus, must win 6 of 10 games.
Of these 10 Ga(not likely to beat), Miami(not likely to beat).
Thus, must win 6 of 8 games.
Must play Maryland, Clemson, N.C. State on road. (hard games).
Thus, have to beat V.T. at home, Uconn at home, Virgina at home, Duke at home, and NC away.
Conclusion of Assumptions--- Why did Georgia Tech pick a Div-1 AA team to play as the cupcake (why not Vandy, New Mexico...etc.) This game is compelely pointless. I will be very proud if Tech makes a bowl next year. ( Ga is doing the same thing by playing Southern next year, but I doubt it will be very detrimental to them.)

Have heard it both ways regarding Sanford.

Where did you get the info that it cannot count toward a bowl? Have we already used our once-every-four-years exemption?

Actually, Samford does count toward a bowl. D1-AA games count once every 4 years. We haven't used (nor played) a D1-AA opponent toward bowl eligibility the last 3 years.
