Tech\'s 2004 schedule has been released

One home game in September. Ouch. And I guess the Tech/MD game won't be on Thursday this year...

9/4 - Samford
9/11 - @ Clemson
9/18 - @ North Carolina
9/25 - BYE
10/2 - Miami
10/9 - @ Maryland
10/16 - Duke
10/28 - Virginia Tech (Thurs.)
11/6 - @ NC State
11/13 - Connecticut
11/20 - Virginia
11/27 - @ Georgia

I like this scedule. BYE week before Miami, could hurt, or help us. Why is Auburn not in there? I thought we were starting another rivelry with them. I guess, maybe, the addition of more ACC teams? I would rather not play Samford, or Uconn, and get Auburn back in the mix. I think Va. Tech on Thursday will be awesome! Lookin fwd toa great year!! We play AU again in 2005, I believe.

At least we have only one Thursday night game this year. Too bad it couldn't be an away game. I hate Thursday night games. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Samford and UConn will be yawners with the stadium only partially filled. If we can't get SEC schools for OOC games(which we seldom do since 1987 when GT dropped Auburn and Tenn), I think we should push for a 10 game ACC slate. Playing Wake and F$U this year would be better games than Samford and UConn. Of course, a 12 game complete schedule would be needed to ensure 6 home games every year. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drinking.gif
