Was Gaily's visit to Thaxton an attempt made in vain? Sorta like recruiting Dwight Howard?

And? I thought the point was to identify the best players who might be interested in Tech and take your best shot. the fact is every school recruits far more kids than they sign. So whether he signed or not, the fact that we could get an in-home that late into the process can only be a positive no matter where he goes.
