Yes, its BR, but the numbers look reputable. Weiss got paid a total of $64.5 mil to coach a total of 8 seasons at ND and KU (buyouts included). He had a final record of 41-49.

So Weis was paid more than Saban or Meyer or anyone else ever in college football for his 8 years of coaching. Wow.

So Kansas paid him about $12.9mil and the ND buyout was about $18.9mil. That means his salary from 2005-2009 was an average $6.5mil per year. It was reported that his contract extension late in 2005 was 10 years between $30-40mil. That is well short of $6.5mil. I think the $64.5mil figure is too high.
