Name a RB we have had better since Dwyer
Name a WR we have had better since Thomas
Name a DB we have had better since Burnett
Name any DL we have had better since any of (choose one) Johnson, Walker, Richard, Morgan. We have not had a defense even close to that level of talent since.

Yeah, nobody is arguing how talented that team was, dumbass. Guess what? That uga team wasn't exactly untalented. That QB we played is now the highest paid player in NFL history. Maybe you can argue that we had more talent - probably not, but I will play along and say we did. Even then, the gap between GT and Wake in 2006 was at least 5x the talent gap between GT and uga in 2008. All of Gailey's teams played like a little brother. The dude was soft, and while we had one or two decent wins underneath him, his softness showed up in how we played. There is a 0% chance he would have ever beaten uga.

Does a single person on the planet think that Chan Gailey would have gotten the same production out of Nesbitt that CPJ did? Maybe, but that single person is a ööööing moron.

Also, Adam Gotsis.

Uhm......agree with every single word posted above. Chan would have NEVER EVER beaten uga. Never. 2005 was his one Shot and still couldn’t do it. Soft.

Wake was playing for an ACC championship, just like us. They won a game or two to get there, dumbass.
UGAg teams with Greene at QB >>>> UGAg teams with Stafford at QB, dumbass. Greene was the winningest QB in NCAA history.
We got beaten in 2009 by a Joe Cox led football team.
And Gotsis is not as good as any of the DL I mentioned.

Without reading between lines, are you suggesting that Gailey ran a better football program than Johnson has?

Lol ok the injured 2nd round DE pick wasn't as good as the 7th rounder and practice squader DTs. Didn't Gotsis go even higher than Derrick Morgan?

Everything before that is basically just irrelevant nonsense. Even if David Green teams were better, what the öööö does that matter? This is like arguing with a crazy girlfriend.

I know what my eyes saw on the field. Gotsis wasn't as good as the ones I listed at Tech.

The hold Calvin strategy was the same as the hold GT's DL and LB's in the Matt Ryan BC game. Just figure they won't call it every time and do it anyway

Recruited better definitely.

I agree with that — but what did that materialize into? What’s the point of all that talent if you are consistently a 500 team and as a rule will lose to your biggest rival, every year without question, and sometimes in embarrassing fashion?
I guess I don’t get what you are arguing?
Butch Jones is a great recruiter too...

The best way to get ranked early or win a preseason national championship is to recruit well.

We have lost in embarrassing fashion to them under Johnson too. In fact, Johnson's defenses have had 40+ points scored on them by UGAg 4 times out of nine with thirty + points another two times. That is 6/9 giving up 30+ points

I tend to agree with this. But remember that the others listed had an advantage playing together whereas Gotsis was alone as a DL threat and drew most of the attention.

One damned year when Georgia had an unbelievably strong high school class that couldn't all go in mass to ugag.

As for what your eyes saw relative to Gotsis.......retarded. Interior line work is far far different than DE work.

As for CCG, you do know he was and is an ugag fan, right?

Holding or not, completely ridiculous to be 3rd and 4th Qtr with one of the best receivers to ever play football and still only have single digit points. That was Chan football...ever disappointing despite pulling superior talent.

CPJ’s ability to manufacture points at least gives us a chance against the pups. Now we just need to figure out how a good defense can coexist with this offense.....

What are you arguing? That the guy who beat uga three times is on par with the one who never did?

Beat UGA 3 times
ACCCG 3 times, won 1 and was competitive in the 2 other when we had no business being competitive with far superior FSU teams
OB 2 times, blowing out a SEC team who spent time at #1 during the season

I don't see the point in Chan bashing, but Chan was horse öööö. I was an undergrad during Chan's tenure and every single season my buddies and I would hope Chan would get canned. He was soft. Always played tight. Never went for the jugular. He really bought into the "Tech will never be better than a 7 win team" mentality.

I listed interior DL too.
