25-3 in the 2nd half but we can't close

The lines on both sides looked much better in the second half. OTackles looked really bad at times in the first half.

I think depth at ol will be a factor as the season progresses.

Why do we go for two with 13 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, so that we wind up doing it again a couple minutes later? Gave away 3 free points tonight.... think that'll beat Clemson?
Guy I was sitting with said that same thing (about going for 2 that early), and I’m prone to agree now. That early in the game, take the single point, then later, after the D is tired, then go for 2 if you need to. Granted, we did miss an XP conversion as well.

As much as I hate to admit it, that’s what Richt did to us and that turned out pretty well for him.

CPJ probably thought we could make the two point conversion. I'm fine going for two every time we score

I thought neither play call was good and also poorly executed by TaQuon. I think our best chance for 2 point conversions is running the toss sweep to Green or Lynch. Cotrell is not tough enough to put a foot in the ground to convert.

Sheesh, we missed an extra point tonight, again. Kind of makes going for two a little easier. I’m all for just going two every time.

The difference last night was no fumbling on the the final scoring drive. I fully expecting us to cough it up again when it look like we were about to put the game away.

Aren't we 0-3 on two point conversions this season? Seems like there is no good answer.

PJ is an aggressive playcaller. iiwii. remember uga '08 when we went for 2 within a minute of the 3rd quarter? Worked out well then, didn't it?

I totally agree - In fact, when we score a td in the first quarter we ought to do it a majority of the time, especially when we're clicking with our blocking. When a team has the capability of converting and going up by 8, it puts tremendous pressure on the other sideline to make the right calls when they score.

Or, he could be just giving the players credit for a much better 2nd half.

As a side note, I really ööööing hate teams that lineup and then look to the sideline for a playcall.
And I wasn't saying that in a bad way. I don't think he likes talking much about his adjustments. But the one adjustment he claimed led to two house calls and should not be under-estimated.

Unless we are mired in a low-scoring game, it doesn't make sense to try the 2-point conversion in the 3rd quarter. A big reason that the game was undecided until a few minutes left in the 4th quarter was the decision to pass up a couple easy points earlier. Even with our offense, too many things can go wrong with a goal line play.

all y'all that say we can't close can see yourself out
