Am I the only one who doesn't think the Falcons need a new stadium?

They should stick it out 10-20 more years in the dome, then get a new one.

They're thinking of putting it farther south, in an even worse area than it already is? I'm assuming it would have to be near Marta.

The Dome isn't very good, but it's not bad enough that we should use any type of public funding to replace it. If they want to use Home Depot or NFL money then I would say go for it. Domes suck.

Blank has a pretty crappy revenue deal with the Georgia Dome. I don't think he gets any of the money from parking, concessions, etc. Either he gets a new stadium and new deal, or he's taking it OTP.

Don't care. It's not like he didn't know that when he bought the team, and it's not like he needs the money.

If they want a new stadium, let them pay for it. During these economic times dont penalize the people who are struggling.

The locale of all the major stadiums in Atlanta are pretty terrible, IMO. I'll let Philips slide since it's near Centennial Olympic Park/World of Coke/Aquarium. Otherwise, Turner Field is in a dumpy area and so is the Dome.
With that said, there's no need for any public funding of any sort to build a new stadium.

I've always considered Philips and the Dome to be in the same location? Are you that specific? They are separated by about 500 feet. |
