Question from outta towner- is VL a valid run threat for an entire season? Iow, does he have the frame/physique to take a season's worth of punishment?

He's not going to run over anyone, but he wasn't scared out there either. Corndog and I both commented how Days looked kind of like Nesbitt out there on a couple of runs.

He is shifty and has good wheels IMO. Like JF said, he isnt quite like Days or Nesbitt but he still finishes his runs.

fify. Vad had serious ball control problems today. Also Tevin's pass stats I think are a bit misleading given the plays we ran when he was in at QB. Granted I agree that Vad's a better passer, but he wouldn't have thrown for more than 20 yards total with the plays we were calling for TW.

I'd say he's a bit like TW, who never seems to get full credit for his running ability. Both seem to deflect hits (as opposed to Days who takes them and keeps running). Vad's a touch faster, a touch less elusive/shifty, but a good bit more powerful.

It was a problem the others didn't seem to have. The goal line fumble would have killed us in a game too.
