Difference between Kentucky and umass/Memphis: all have enough money to cheat, Kentucky also has enough money to cover it up well

Yes. Tennesee has plenty of money but Bruce Pearl got owned. UConn is a huge name in NCAAB but they won't be allowed in the tourney next year.
On the football side, USC and OSU are both huge names and both suffered severe penalties (even if they were/will be able to rebound from them very well due to their status.) The NCAA is worried that it is becoming obsolete, and it is getting serious about punishments. If Kentucky cheated, then I expect the title will be vacated.

Yeah UK was really having a problem getting top recruits and winning games before Calipari showed up.

Seriously? After the 2004-05 season, they were bounced from the NCAA tournament in the first weekend two years in a row. Then when Tubby Smith left and Gillispie came in, they ended the season with a loss to Georgia in our building during the SEC Tournament and then to Marquette in the first round of the NCAA. In 2008-09 they get trounced by LSU in the SEC-T and by Notre Dame in the NIT. Calipari comes in and they get three SEC titles, two Final Fours, an Elite 8, a National Title and enough pro players that they could just send them all to Seattle and have a newly minted SuperSonics team playing decent NBA basketball next season. I'm with mmbt0ne on this one, can anyone tell me why this Calipari guy gets so much hype?

I think both Calipari and UK are well experienced at what they are doing, so they are safe.
