I've never heard of Byrd having off-field issues....not sure what you are talking about.

There was a recent article in which he said something about the Cubs' schedule being difficult on his body, but other than that..........

I would be all for making a trade for Byrd. Put him out there everyday in LF and let Prado super-sub at 3B, 2B, LF, 1B.

Another good performance all the way around against a good team. Kept getting behind but pulling through with big hits. Especially Heywards bottom 9th homerun to tie it up. I'll take another tie. 9-14-4.

the Braves care so much about their spring record that they started Buddy Carlyle yesterday and today the Yankees had a minor leaguer closing a 5-3 game instead of Mo Rivera.

and I know you're an idiot, but try to understand that I am excited that Freddie is playing well because it might carry over to the regular season, which will give me fantasy points.

actually, no, I don't put much emphasis on spring practice. but even if I did, that means a lot more THAN THE RECORD OF THE TEAM in spring training.

Now, I do put stock in how individuals are playing (like Freddie Freeman going 5 for 8 with all of those HR's) but I put zero stock in who wins the game. If the games meant anything they wouldn't let them end in ties...
