Default Athlon and Coaches by the numbers: CPJ 2nd best in ACC

http://www.athlonsports.com/college-...ng-acc-coaches

Ranking is by athlon but figured I would give some credit to CBTN too.

I think Golden, London, and Fisher will ultimately prove to be better.

I stopped reading at al golden. The third best coach in the ACC has an overall losing record?

I like that they gave us credit for our co championship of the coastal in 2008 and our acc championship in 2009 in their analysis. Dunno how everyone else is ranked, but al golden (losing record, 0-1 in bowls) is not third after a single 6-6 campaign. I would rank dabo ahead of golden (championships, recruiting) despite his most recent game , as well as possibly london (winning overall record, FCS national championship) and fisher (.704 ACC record, division championship).

Since you bring up Golden's record in bowls.... What's Johnson's? Also, what's Golden's record against Johnson?

kthxbye

Never said that johnson should be ranked ahead of golden, just that golden is too highly ranked.

That said, multiple FCS championships, division championships, and an ACC championship, combined with a much longer winning record would make CPJ seem like the better coach at the moment, despite the two valid marks against him.

Al golden could turn out to be the best coach in the ACC ever, but it is premature to be singing his accolades, he hasn't done anything yet, and there are a few others who have.
