I don't have comcast and was trying to get around espn3's blackout... If I use a web anonymizer and hide my IP address will it still be blacked out??

You will have to enable remote access first. Be logged in with your ESPN.com account and using your regular ISP without any sort of anonymizer or proxy in place. Click the remote access link on the ESPN3 page. Then turn on some sort of proxy. I'm using Hotspot Shield, which is free and works on PC and Mac. Then load up ESPN3 again, and you should be able to avoid the blackout. It's working for me, at least.

Glad it's working for you. I got the idea about doing something like this from a forum I've been reading to prepare for my move to London. American expats in the UK do things like this to get around Hulu's geographic restrictions, so I figured it should work for this idiotic blackout.

Hotspot Shield is what I use to access Hulu.
