I definitely wouldn't be surprised. The only time it really makes sense to put a great deal of stock in game 1 of a playoff series is if a majory injury occurs. Obviously the team that wins game 1 is statistically more likely to win the series, but I think that has more to do with the fact that the team winning game 1 usually has the better record, homecourt, and is the better team.
