Default Pat Summitt is stepping aside

I wish her well in her battle with health issues. CPS was and is a legend.

This is sad news - I don't remember a Tennessee women's team not coached by Summitt. She really did a great deal for the sport and women's athletics in general.

Over/under on the number of posts before someone makes a bad joke?

That's tough. I saw her in Des Moines at the Sweet Sixteen. She looked like she was struggling. Her assistants were handling all the bench coaching responsibilities. Also, tough for the Tech women who open McCammish next season against Tennessee. Hopefully, she'll be able to make an appearance and feel the love.

Tony Barnhart ‏ @MrCFB
Along with the 8 NCAA champ and 18 Final Fours is this: Every player who completed eligibility at Tennessee under Summitt has graduated.

Is that really unusual in women's basketball? I actually would think that's pretty par for the course in men's basketball as well.

Don't NCAA requirements make it almost mandatory to graduate if you complete eligibility?

That's impressive. Most impressive stat I've seen.
