I don't watch much of the NBA, so I'll just go ahead and admit this question shows my ignorance of all things NBA.
Question:
Are the playoffs like the NCAA brackets, or does the highest seed that wins the first round play the lowest seed that wins the first round.
For example, if Memphis (#8) beats the Spurs (#1), and L.A. (#2) beats N.O. (#7), does L.A. play Memphis or does L.A. play the winner of the #3 vs. #6 series?
