I was reading on the Stanford message board that Safeco Field (Seattle Bowl) is a TERRIBLE place to watch a football game. Most seats are at least 50 yards away from the field. I guess kind of like Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium for football. Yuck. Here is the seating chart. Draw your own conclusions.

You can check the Stanford Message board out by going to The War Room and choosing Stanford from the Pac 10 list.

The Seattle bowl will not "move" to Charlotte next year. The sponsors intend to keep it in Seattle and play next year's game in the Seahawk's new (football/soccer only) stadium.

If the Seattle (or another) bowl folds, then the organizers of a potential bowl in Charlotte will have the opportunity to gain sponsorship and petition for recognition. According to Swofford earlier this year the bowl in Charlotte could have an ACC-SEC tie-in.
