So the QB Michigan has is 'a pure pocket style QB', he doesn't run:

He played a lot this year with considerable success for a freshman. They did have a dual-threat QB who transfered away it seems:

It will be interesting to see what Rodriguez would do without a Pat White.
Why do you think Michigan went for someone like that?

I think Rodriguez can be successful with a QB like Mallett. He had Shaun King at Tulane (who was not in the Pat White mold) and Streeter at Clemson (eventually replaced by Woody Dantzler) I think Rodriguez is an excellent coach, and he'll do well at Meatchicken.

I wonder how Mr. Threet will take the news of a spread attack coming to Ann Arbor.

Yeah, he broke the news for Rodriguez at Michigan I think, so he is tempted to follow him there.

1998 Tulane 12-0 season with Shaun King:
156 rushes for 633 yards
364 a. passes for 3495 yards
His QB at Clemson for two years: Dantzler:
first NCAA QB ever to rush for 1000 and throw for 2000 in a season.
So Rodriguez obviously have had Pat White-like guys.

Btw, I am interested in this to draw parallels to PJ and GT. There is some news that dual threat QBs would follow Rodriguez, I would like to hear similar news on PJ, at least after next season.
