When was Stingtalk born?
Stingtalk was created by Beestorm and gtfan on October 15, 2001 after weeks of debate whether or not a second GT Message Board was viable.

Who are you guys?
We are two life-long Georgia Tech fans who want to create a community in which GT fans can give voice to their opinions and have fun with other GT fans.

Does Stingtalk have rules?
We do not dwell on rule making here. We ask that you govern yourselves as adults and respect everyone's right to his or her opinion. We have a freedom of speech policy as long as you do not infringe upon the rights of others to enjoy the website.

Where did you get that Prediction Contest software and why is it here?
The prediction contest software was developed by the Stingtalk staff exclusively for use on Stingtalk. We are still "beta-testing" it and it will continue to evolve in the coming months. The Prediction Contest is for the entertainment of the Stingtalk community.

What is Chat and when is it open?
The chat room is a gathering place for GT fans and opponents to discuss anything and everything. It can be accessed using the java applet with your browser or you can use an irc client such as Mirc. The chat room is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. You will find it busiest during out-of-town GT games or during other "important" college games.

Does Stingtalk accept donations?
We have recently decided to accept voluntary donations to Stingtalk.com. However, we ask that donations never be discussed in the message board. We want users to make the personal choice on whether or not to donate and we do not want anyone to feel pressured. We are a free website and will always be free.

Why have you only started accepting donations just recently?
BeeStorm and gtfan agreed that no donations would be accepted until after Stingtalk was one year old. We wanted to demonstrate our commitment to the GT community and show that this website is not some "money-making" scheme. We now feel that accepting donations will not detract from what we are trying to accomplish at Stingtalk.

What would my donation be used for?
Donations are used to cover expenses related to the upkeep and upgrading of the website. (Webhosting fees, Message Board Software Licensing fees, etc)

Is my donation tax deductible?
No. Even though we are a non-profit entity, we do not qualify to make donations tax deductable.
